BASE SERIES 2025

Our popular BASE Series is back, refreshed for 2025 with a new suite of content designed to give researchers a thorough grounding in commercialisation, at a level that is appropriate for them. With a total of 22 webinars in the series, researchers can access basic commercialisation topics, be introduced to specialist topic overviews and participate in advanced commercialisation learning.

BASE COMMERCIALISATION 101

BASE Commercialisation 101 will focus on helping researchers identify whether they have an idea with an IP position and how to take the first steps to explore viability for commercialisation.

This eight webinar part of the BASE series assumes no commercialisation experience or knowledge, and participants will also have the opportunity to attend four sector-specific commercialisation overviews to grow the breadth of their knowledge.

Early career researchers, PhD students or anyone starting their commercialisation journey who is looking for a guide to getting started.

Specialist Topic Introductions

Throughout the year, subscribers to the BASE series will have the opportunity to attend introductory webinars for specialist topic areas. To tackle challenges in these areas often require a multidisciplinary approach and close collaboration and understanding of the problems faced by a number of stakeholders. For those researchers wanting a deeper dive, a subsequent specialist series is then available.

All researchers, regardless of career stage or commercialisation experience, looking for a deeper dive on key specialist topics.

And now in 2025 you can take your learning even further with digital badges offered as part of our BASE 101 and BASE Advanced  commercialisation webinar series. Our digital badges recognise your commitment to your own professional development journey.

BASE ADVANCED

BASE Advanced Commercialisation narrows the commercialisation focus to specific skills or knowledge that will support a researcher already actively engaging in commercialisation. With a strong emphasis on rounding out their understanding with detail, the webinars will provide multiple case study examples for researchers to augment their own experience.

Participants can also access our full back catalogue to explore other commercialisation topics from previous years.

Our Advanced series targets researchers—regardless of career stage—who are on their commercialisation journey and are seeking the skills and understanding to confidently engage in the process.
